Swinfen Hall Hotel

Welcome to Swinfen Hall Hotel, an historic 18th-century manor house lying 2 miles south of Lichfield. Over the past twenty years, this beautiful Georgian mansion has been lovingly restored and this year we are delighted to have been named as an Inspector's Choice hotel by the AA and awarded four red stars - the first hotel in Staffordshire to have attained this accolade.

Swinfen Hall was built in 1755 for a family of three and 55 servants, but for the last 17 years it has been a luxurious country house hotel. It is a very beautiful Grade II* listed building set in 100 acres of rolling Staffordshire countryside incorporating beautiful gardens and a 45 acre wild deer park.

During the summer months a champagne reception can be held on the terrace overlooking the gardens and ornamental ponds with rolling views of the fields and lake beyond. This picturesque setting makes a lovely backdrop for photographs and a welcome drink.

Winter weddings also have their own charm, with glittering chandeliers and log fires crackling in the grates. During December, the Hotel is swathed in festive Victorian garlands and a 20-foot Christmas tree lights up the ballroom.
